The American Country Awards Show is going to be a fine show airing on television on Monday December 6, 2010 on the Fox network from 8pm 10pm. It will be a unique show and the first of its kind where the fans vote on their favorite country music artists from each category and other selections as well. Fans had the opportunity to start voting for their favorites but all voting ended on November 8, 2010 with one exception which was voting for Artist of the Year which ended on December 4.
A list of the categories that will be voted on are the Artist Awards, Album Awards, Single Awards, Music Videos, and Touring Awards. In each category fans had the opportunity to vote at least once a day before the voting deadline ended. So the winners tonight have been totally selected by the fans.

There will also be country music artists that will be set to perform and they are Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, and Josh Turner. There will be other guest artists that will make appearances and possibly speak on behalf of award winners and they are: Laura Bell Bundy, Rodney Carrington, Jewel and Lady Antebellum, Rock Legend Bret Michaels, Comic Jeff Dunham, Rodeo Star Ty Murray, and NASCAR drivers Clink Bowyer, Elliott Sadler, and Michael Waltrip.
There was also an addition to the American Country Awards Show and that is the category of the Greatest Hits Award. This award has already been nominated to go to Alan Jackson. He will be performing live and will be accepting this award on Monday night December 6. The Greatest Hits Award is given to a country music artist who has generated a vast number of number one hits. Alan Jackson has 34 number one hits currently including a recent number one hit called As Shes Walking Away.
The American Country Awards Show tonight will be hosted by Trace Adkins. Some of the other categories that will be up for awards are Artist of the Year for male, female, and group: Artist of the Year Breakthrough Artist: Albums of the Year: Single of the Year for male, female, group, and breakthrough artist: Touring Artist of the Year: Music Video of the Year for male, female, group, and breakthrough artist.
