I know you are already sick of being told to eat more, to go for compound exercises and to train well.
While these tips are good for you and can certainly help you build muscles still they are not enough at all to help you reach your desired body shape.
Since years i have been training in the gym and i managed to change my body from being completely skinny to completely muscular. What i noticed during that period is that most people fail to build muscles not because they don't eat or exercise but because they do few fatal mistakes that prevents their muscles from growing.
In this article i will tell you how to build muscles quickly.
How fast is that quickly?
You can hardly add more than 2 to 4 pounds of muscle mass a month using normal methods.
This means that body building takes time and its not the kind of sport that can change your body shape in 4 weeks. Certainly you will see some improvement after that period but the real change would require more time.
How not to build muscles?
So back to the fatal mistakes skinny guys do that prevents them from growing fast:
* They don't understand what lift heavy means: We all know that muscles can't grow without lifting heavy weights but what most people don't seem to understand is that a heavy weight is a weight that must be carried by the targeted muscle and not anything else. During each exercise you do you can load a completely different muscle than the one you are targeting by slightly deviating from the flawless performance. For example its quite popular that people load their backs instead of their biceps by leaning back while doing dumbbell curls. A heavy weight is the weight that must allow you to do the exercise flawlessly without reaching 10 reps and without loading your tendons, bones or ligaments.
* Trying to both lose fat and gain muscles: Can you drive a car in 2 different directions in the same time? No you can't and the same goes for your body. When you do cardio intermediate muscle fibers that turn into slow twitch fibers (fibers that doesn't grow that big) while when you lift heavy weights intermediate fibers turn into fast twitch fibers (fibers that can grow fast). Now when you do both cardio and weight lifting you are confusing your body by sending mixed signals. That would slow down growth !! divide your exercising routine into two big phases. During the first phase you should only focus on getting big and after that phase is done you can then focus on maintaining your muscles and losing fats.
* Focusing on proteins: Proteins are the building blocks for muscles but without carbs proteins wont even reach your muscles. I never got big except when i started eating carbs insanely alongside proteins. But that causes fat accumulation right? As i just said, during phase one fat acculturation is quite normal after you grow big you can get rid of these fats in phase 2
