PEOPLE ASKED TO BE SCAMMED?
PEOPLE ASKED TO BE SCAMMED?

Enron set itself up on the basis of legitimate businesses with all the licenses, the experience of top management and the air of respectability. The people at the bottom had no idea of the ponzi at the top. They were doing what millions of people do daily is invest their money.

Multilevel marketing did not start out as a bad thing but over the years it turned into a bad thing. When MLM was first introduced it served communities in such a way that people could have access to products through a neighbor or a friend that they would not have otherwise had access to. The concept for the salesman was to make some customers salespeople and that way more territory could be covered. Today, with the use of the internet, more people have access to products faster and cheaper which makes MLM obsolete.

Nowadays many MLM have come back in the form of social networking sites. Unfortunately, all too often I see MLM popping up asking you to join and recruit others to join. When others join and if they buy something you get paid. You are promised to get paid in some instances for six to seven levels deep. Even if those that join never buy a thing the MLM still wins. A network with trillions of members is an ad base for the big businesses you already know and trust and already buy from.

Since you have no idea of how many referrals are from your initial efforts, your net earnings will always show $0.00. Since you are already a member of the network and they offer other social networking activities to divert your attention, you will soon forget about the earnings and just build your profile and network with your friends, add your photos, type in your blog and send emails asking for more friends to earn .10 cent for every member they request.

People start out with good intentions and they truly believe they will make some money or at least that is the excuse they give. With online MLM today people are scammed but they are not scammed out of money. They are scammed out of dreams because online MLM sites disguised as social networking sites don't need to get your money. Major corporations will pay the MLM site because they have your traffic.

The reason so many MLM schemes have survived so long, like dinosaurs adapting and changing to the new earth, is because people allow it. Most people do not believe in themselves enough to think that they can earn an honest living outside of working for someone else without joining another form of working for someone else like an MLM. They feel that other traditional ways of doing business is out of reach financially and this is the only way they can potentially get into business.

The problem is that most people don't believe the wheel can be reinvented or they are not willing to try an honest venture because the promises of the MLM already broke the virginity.

The reality is, if you can't personally track your sales and the sales of your team, more than likely you will not be paid. Also, if your success depends on recruiting another to perform, more than likelyyou will not be paid.
