Every person looks for a job that meets his/her requirements. Practically everybody wants to have a profession that does not require hard working and offers good remuneration. Unfortunately, such professions do not exist. If you have features of a leader and can manage people, then manager is a kind of profession you need. Being a manager comprises both positive and negative features. There are some pros of being a manager.
Compensation. It is understood that manager is a highly paid job. As a rule, the salary of managers is higher then that of the rest members of the company, but in fact it depends upon the value of the worker. If the worker is accurate and performs his duties perfectly, his/her salary may be higher that the salary of the manager.
Authority. Obviously, the authority of managers is very high, as they are responsible for certain amount of people. Their position gives them the right to make some important decisions and run the working process.
More rights. As usual, managers of some companies enjoy more rights that other members of this very company. Managers have the opportunity to be in contact with the president of the company directly, while other workers may wait for weeks or even months in order to arrange a meeting with the head of their company.
Certainly, the profession of manager has its cons. They are:
Higher responsibility. Managers bear more responsibility in the company they work. First of all, they are responsible for people, who are in their disposal. They have to work more and look after the working process very carefully, as blame for any mistake may be cast on them.
Excessive working. Being a manger means that one has to work more and stay at work longer than usual workers.
Stress. Needless to say that this job is very stressful, as making decisions, authority and high responsibility may lead to stress and health problems.
