It's a question somebody brings up pretty much every time I go paintballing, I'm used to hearing the different approaches people at when I ask them, where do you think is the worst place to get hit by a paintball? I mean paintballs can legally be shot at around 200 miles per hour! So that is pretty fast, thankfully most sites have a limit, which is much, much lower.
Paintballs aren't designed to hurt, in fact they are designed to do the complete opisit, which is why most of the time, they don't really hurt you at all. I mean you get that stinging feeling, which is usually how you tell you've been shot, of course it depends on where it is. So I've been asking around and here are the 5 worst places to get hit by a paintball.
#5 - The Neck
Most of the time when your playing paintball, you find your neck unprotected by anything, making it a open place to get shot, pretty painful depending on the speed and a lot of the time can end up bruising and result in people asking "Who gave you a hickey?" for a few weeks afterwards. You can wear, well anything over your a neck, scarf, a neck warmer etc, but it'll still hurt quite a lot!
#4 - Inside the leg
I'm sure we've all done it, the game is almost up and we decide to make a quick run to complete the game, weather it be grabbing a flag or whatever and of course, being the end of the game, every-ones shooting their last paintballs, you've been running only to find somebody has shot the inside of your leg, really sensitive area and really does sting!
#3 - Back Of The Head
This really can hurt, a lot of the time if you do get shot in the head, you'll find yourself bleeding, bleeding from your head is, well never good to be honest, you can wear full helmets which will protect the back of your head, but most paintballing centres have half-face masks, which only forget the front of your face.
#2 - The, well yeah
I'm sure everyone has seen this happen to somebody, somebodies either got a great aim or somehow ended up shooting you in the, well private-area, it really, really hurts, I'd ware a cup of your friends have a bad sense of humor and try this one on you!
#1 - The Hands
Mainly the fingers to be honest, where you usually leave your hands exposed while shooting with the gun, it makes it a prime place for paintballs to hit, your fingers have got loads of different nerves in them, making it even more painful. You can easily prevent this simply by wearing a pair of gloves.
