The Blackberry Torch has both trackpad and slide out QWERTY keyboard along with onscreen keyboards and touch parameters offering the best of both worlds for users when it comes to text input and user interface control. The handset also has an impressive 5 megapixel camera along with GPS and plenty of storage memory.

The handset features a 5 megapixel camera with flash for video recording and image capture, along with the ability to share your multimedia via multimedia messaging, email or through integrated social networks such as Facebook. Social networking can be added to the phone through the App World which allows you to download apps for lots of resources besides social networking like Facebook and Twitter. The handsets Media Player also allows you to display your photos or watch back videos bon the 3.2 inch HVGA display with capacitive touch technology.

The Torch features both onscreen QWERTY and alphanumeric keypads, along with touch control of the Blackberry 6 operating system and the many apps available, while also providing a full QWERTY keyboard which slides out along with a trackpad, similar to those on laptop computers for simple scrolling and movement around the displayed interface. The keyboard input is made faster still by the presence of the SureType technology, which both predicts dictionary words, alongside predicting and recognizing commonly used words by you. Together these features combine to offer a seamless user experience and easy input when using multiple applications at once, which can be done on this handset too.

The handset has a Media Player which allows you to enjoy all of your videos and photos back, as well as providing a great music player with simple controls to find the track or album you want to listen to which can be done via either the A2DP or AVCRP Bluetooth profiles, as part of the Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate, for wireless stereo headsets, or with standard headphone through the 3.5mm jack connector featured also. All major audio and video file formats are supported. There is plenty of memory for many files too, through the 8 gigabytes of internal media card memory in addition to expandable memory up to 32 gigabytes on microSD card respectively.
