subject: How To Organise Clutter [print this page] Everyone likes to accumulate thingsEveryone likes to accumulate things. But when these are not used as wisely, they end up filling the space in a home. As a result, they make a room look messy, they gather dust, take up a lot of space, and can even be a financial problem to the homeowner. So to clean these junk up, here are some helpful ideas. Finally, they will make the house clean and organised.
Books
Books say something about the owner. They are more like indicators that whoever owns them must be intelligent, especially when the piles of books could fill a mini library. However, a smart owner doesn't just leave these precious reads to gather dust and be filled with molds. They instead recycle it for goodwill or for extra income.
You can sell books to second-hand book shops and use the money to fund your credit cards and buy a new book. You can also be charitable by donating your books to institutions or the local library.
Toys
Toys are critical for child development. With toys they get to lean new motor skills, encourage curiosity, and learn the art of sharing. But it isn't good if kids get a lot of toys more than they need. Really, how many trucks, dolls, playhouses, Lego sets, and other interesting toys do they need? A lot of these toys only end up gathering dust or messing up with other spaces in the house. This is not good especially for the busy parents.
But you can encourage the kids to donate their toys to charity and other unfortunate children and this will develop the act of giving in them. You can ask them to choose which toys to give up and which ones they love enough to actually have them stay with them. Parents can do the same if the kids can't decide. They can donate these extra toys to charity and other worthy causes. But for extra money in the piggy bank, kids can sell their old toys online or hold garage sales.
Clothes
To keep from swiping your best debit cards to buy new ones, you can have a clothes swap instead. Go online and use Facebook or Twitter to find friends, families, and other willing participants to join the clothes swap. You can also sell them to online sites and yard sales for a bit of extra money. But you can also just give them away for charity. For kids' clothes, you can use it again for your smaller kids or your neighbors' babies.
Trinkets
These things are usually given by families as an heirloom or for when they travel from other places. Instead of keeping them somewhere concealed and safe so they don't break, why not use them instead? For old china for instance, you can display it in a shelf or make it a centerpiece for occasions. If you think they are that important, why not donate it somewhere where they can be more appreciated? Like a gallery for instance where they can be displayed. You can also pass it down to others.
Clutter is part of life daily. But you can stop yourself from getting too many things in the house. And by spring cleaning twice a year, you can make your home clutter-free!
