I had a tough time in my own business for more than 7 years. By the time I'd prospected my friends and family and drawn up my 'warm' list and contacted them all, I was ready to quit! There had to be a better way I kept thinking to myself.
I actually started doing a fair bit of investigating on the internet for ways in which I could develop my business. I had heard of several other network marketers that were successfully building some very impressive incomes online. Somehow they were creating leads every day, plus selling products. I decided it was time for me to give it a try myself, so got right on to it. A bit of learning and a couple of weeks later I had my brand new shinny websites up and running, all ready to create leads and sell products. I showed it to my upline and then promptly received telephone calls from 2 levels up plus the executive director. Basically they were all excited about this 'new' concept. They were all hard core, old school veterans.
My knowledge of internet marketing at this point was pretty nonexistent, and if anyone found my websites it was pretty much by accident as I had no idea of how to get them there. The results were not particularly great but I did manage to sell some product and also recruit a small team of distributors from various countries around the world. The results are not exactly life changing but none the less I knew that there was some serious potential for online marketing.
What's the point of me telling you all this? Well I hope that it will give you some inspiration, if you are struggling with the more traditional ways of building your business then there is hope.
A few years on and having actually taken the time to educate myself properly, I now generate around 30+ leads a day for my business and sponsor effortlessly on auto-pilot (almost....I still speak to people, but when I call they already know who I am and want to receive my call).
In what way is it beneficial for us to build our business online?
Well it's pretty simple really; it gives us leverage. It's vital that you are not tied down to your business too much, after all this business is all about having freedom. There is a vast world of opportunity online that should not be ignored.
Given the technology that's available to us today, it's easy for the newcomer to set up a lead sucking website within minutes, learn how to generate traffic and be on their way to freedom. There are many systems out there that will do pretty much everything for you; apart from picking up the telephone and connecting with your leads (that's still your job!)
Even if you're brand new to it all, a regular lead flow and cash flow is within your reach within around 3-5 weeks of learning and work. Plus of course some of them are going to join your business.
