The CCT (Checkerboard Coaching Technique sm) has taken 32 years to develop and will take this short article to explain how to apply it tothe Meyers-Briggs Pyschological Testing. We all know what a checkerboard is. To start take the imaginary board you have and fill each space with the portion of your personality or behaviior want to improve or analyze. After your board is filled with as many spaces as you care to fill, chose the 20 percent of those items that are the most critical and what you want to improve the most. Understand that area and expand it. Expand the opportunity to improve it as you now recognize what it is. The law of the significant few or the 2080 ruleis applied to every one of the squares you have.
I mention and offer this Meyers-Briggs Testing suggestion since only recently I took the test. It changed my life in one way. I never realized thata test devides people into two groups. Those that make decisons based upon what they think, and those that make decisions on what they feel. Once I realized that those that make their decisions on what they think, and take the emotion out of decisions, I also realized theyare usually the ones that accomplish the most. As it tuns out I am an extreem feeler and feelers usually are sensative and hurt easily. The purpose of the test is to determine which you are and where you are on the chart, and then move toward the center.
For me personally I looked back at meetings and conversations in business and immediately understood what happened. I would say I feel to begin a concept discussion and may of the thinkers in the group would not hear another word. I am careful to say I think every time since, when I think. I thought feelings were important so used feelings to make a point. No longer.
I would suggest that the Meyers-Briggs Testing is critical to understand in business and in life. It helps us understand that we all need to make decisions based on thinking but that it is all right to feel as well. Just discovering this system and the logic and ease with which it works and can be implemented is making you think I am sure. Ask yourselfif you ever thought of individuals as either a thinker or a feeler before. I never did. Now I immediately catagorize a person and it relly helps understand where they are comming from in conversation and life.
