Who is Allah? (6) Who forgets Allah, forgets his Soul
Many People do not know their Almighty Creator, Allah.
This series is aimed to help the readers which do not know who is Allah.
It is said, anyone is hidden but when he talks he reveals himself.
In this series, Allah reveals himself through his Words, the Noble Quran.
In the Quran (Verses 59:19), Allah instructs the believers not to forget Him, because the one who forgets Allah will forget his soul.
How is that?
If anyone forgets Allah; Allah causes him to forget his soul.
In Verse 59:19, Allah says:
O believers, do not be like those who forget Allah and those who] neglect obedience to Him, so that He makes them forget their own souls to send ahead good deeds for its sake. Therefore Allah forsook them such that they left His obedience altogether. Such are the evil-doers, such are the disbelievers in Allah; they are the immoral.
Verse 59:19 in four different translations:
QARIB: do not be like those who have forgotten Allah so that he has caused them to forget their souls. Those, they are the evildoers.
SHAKIR: and be not like those who forsook Allah, so he made them forsake their own souls: these it is that are the transgressors
PICKTHAL: and be not ye as those who forgot Allah, therefore he caused them to forget their souls. Such are the evil-doers.
YUSUFALI: and be ye not like those who forgot Allah; and he made them forget their own souls! Such are the rebellious transgressors!
