Though, SRK played a cameo in the movie Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu, this would be his full fledged movie directly after the much acclaimed film My Name Is Khan. Ra.One will also have the likes of Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor.
As per sources its known that Ra.One stands for Random Access - Version 1.0. With the first look revealed, we now know that Shahrukh Khan would be seen playing the role of a superhero named G.One.
Raavan may have ended up being damp squibs at the box-office but as far as Bollywood is concerned, the show must go on. If rumors are to be believed then, Ra.One could easily be Bollywoods most expensive film till date. Ra.One is said to be one of the most ambitious Bollywood projects featuring famous Hollywood technicians and VFX artists. The idea is to take the movie to a new level with daredevil action sequences and world-class special effects.
Not only does Ra.One offer us Hollywood style special effects and VFX but also it has well-known American R&B singer and rapper Akon in it. Yes, it is known to all that Ra.One will have Akon crooning in the movie. We already saw, Kylie Minogue groove and croon in Blue and now its Akon who would do a stint akin to what Kylie did in Blue. It is also said that many action stunts in the movie has been done by none other than Shahrukh Khan himself.
Well, over the years we have seen King Khan play numerous characters on screen. From playing a ghost in Paheli to a guy who is suffering from Aspergers syndrome in My Name Is Khan, but never have we seen him like this before. Everyone went berserk over Shahrukh Khans six pack abs in Om Shanti Om and it became a Bollywood meme. And since Ra.One was something which was much talked about, everyone is awaiting for this one to hit the silver screen. As of now the date for Ra.Ones release is said to be around Diwali this year.
Especially after Rajnikanths Enthiran the Robot became a rage, everyone is taking keen interest on sci-fi movies in Bollywood. After Enthiran the Robot, it will be interesting to see how people react to SRKs Ra.One. We all know that when it comes to fan following, SRK is looked upon as a demigod in various sectors of the cosmos. With this project being a very special one and close to SRKs heart, it will be interesting to see whether Ra.One stands out be THE ONE for SRK.
