However, it is important to dilute the essential oil first in a suitable base such as oil or unscented lotion or cream. Concentrated oil can burn the skin and might cause severe irritations. In curing yeast infection, the best base is isopropyl alcohol. Mix equal amounts of tea tree oil and alcohol. Put a few drops in a cotton ball then apply on the affected area. If you like using tampon, you may incorporate the tea tree oil on your tampon. Apply a lubricant first, then the oil then insert the tampon.
