Social media marketing is a child play for those who understand the requirements of this field and heck difficult for those who lack proper social media planning. It is a great place with an ample of opportunities for every size and field of business. But I have a question out of curiosity, is traffic generation the only objective you should achieve? Hell no. You probably want to meet your financial objectives, you want them to subscribe for your website or magazines, or maybe you want more sales from your online visibility and for that you should have powerful social media strategy to capture your niche market. Not everyone who visits you is your profitable customer, so you really need to enough influencing that you may lead towards qualitative visitors.

You target everyone

Not everyone will be interested in your garments; neither should you sell Tees to everyone. I mean come on; you should be very particular about your niche market. You can't approach randomly as they won't listen to you if you don't tell them your product has this this and this feature they are looking for. You need to find your niche within your industry and develop a segment you could cater with your products and services and fulfill their needs and wants.

When you have unfocussed traffic on your social media network i.e. Facebook fan page, Twitter etc, you wouldn't be able to generate revenue as you were expecting from them. You rather consider less people on your network but they have to be relevant and targeted, because traffic generation is not your ultimate target, revenue generation and profitability are.

You believe in talking and talking. Did I mention talking?

If you do so, you certainly are doing a blunder. It is against ethics that you don't give chance to your niche market to talk about what their heart say, you aren't allowing them to share what they think about your brand and you actually are walking on one side way, which certainly is not so wise thing. You should maintain a two-way process of communication and create ways to pull them into your business circle share information, throw jokes, shock tem, give them surprises, post picture and photos, links they might like and everything that can engage them is necessary.

Social Media Network is not a place to be personal

When you go into business world, all your personal, political and religious views should be kept aside. You should not be as vocal about your personal beliefs over any social media network because this way you lose half of your audience. Never pass derogatory remarks about any one or you will lose it forever.
