Though there is no specific definition of Digital, even we can understand that that digital means doing the works very easily and rapidly by using computer system.
Now come to the point of Digital Bangladesh. Digital Bangladesh was a manifesto of our present government during the national election of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi peoples especially youth community was very impressed with this issue. They vote them and now peoples are waiting for the materialization of Digital Bangladesh.
Digital Bangladesh means making our Bangladesh developed in every field by using latest technology. Such as in the age of technology only 1% people use internet for professional communication. Still our total land is not covered by Broad Band Internet connection. Only A mobile company Grameen phone limited has a huge coverage of Mobile Internet Connection. Their connection Speed is very slow relatively with Broadband connections. So Internet users have to suffer for slow connection.
Now a days wimax mobile broadband company have started their connection in a limited coverage. Now only 7 divisional city regions are under their coverage. And their connection fees are relatively high as people get from Grameen phone. Bangladesh govt has to work on it to spread internet connection to the rural areas with a reasonable price.
Besides our information system are very poor.
Voip calling is protected by our Govt. Thats why peoples have to cost much money for international calls.
Come to our Health system, govt. has recently introduced mobile Health Service in every upzilla Health Complex. But e-health is yet to start successfully.
E-commerce, though our govt. has announced e-commerce but still we are far behind from that, because our banks dont start online banking.
If you are a Bangladeshi freelancer then obviously you are not satisfied with our banking system. Every freelancer knows that Pay Pal is not allowed in our country.
Our education system is still very old as like ancient period. Our govt. hasnt yet introduced online exam systems. It is not possible due to lack of computer knowledge among the students. Besides the inability of purchasing computer also a main reason of it.
Now computer accessories are out of VAT (Value added Tax).
All about a computer education is must needed. But hardly will you find the update programmer. Maximum institutions teaching only computer basics but if you want to be a developed IT professional then obviously it is not adequate for you.
So, these fields are mandatory to reach the Goal of Digital Bangladesh.
