Many people out there starting a business are looking to either get website traffic, or increase site traffic, depending on how they've been marketing. What I am going to do is share with you some good SEO strategies you can use right away.
Before you go and do ANYTHING, write an article, create a landing page, or do a pay click campaign, you have to do your keyword research if you want to have any chance to getting targeted traffic to your site. If you already have a site up and running, you may want to back track and add those keywords to what you already have.
SEO Strategy # 1
If you wanted free targeted traffic, anything you write, whether it's web content, article marketing, etc; It has to be keyword enriched. You want to know what people are using to find what they are looking for.
The Google Adwords tool will suggest you words and phrases to you use.
By typing in the keywords say weight loss, it will show you how many people a month are using that keyword phrase to find what they are looking for globally and locally.
SEO Strategy #2
Use long-tailed keywords, 3-4 maybe even 5 words long for your keyword phrases because they are more specific and they have less searches and it will be easier to get to the top of the search engines.
Try to find keywords that are 10-20,000 locally and 30,000-40,000 globally to start.

SEO Strategy #3
Use those phrases for every 5 words, in a hundred words, there should be twenty, keyword enriched phrases in them. You have to satisfy both the search engine and the reader as well.
