The HTC HD2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 and comes with a number of pre-loaded applications such as Windows Market Place, Microsoft MyPhone, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Opera 9.5 browser and Google Maps. Videos can be captured in normal and MMS modes. Format options include MPEG4 and H.263. Highest resolution can be set at VGA (640x480 pixels). Recording limit has a number of options such as 10 seconds, 3 minutes, 2 MB, etc. While the picture quality is good, the video quality is acceptable.
The HD2 has a music player and FM radio. Sound quality through the headphones is great. With the 3.5 mm jack you can use the headsets of your choice. In the music player tracks can be sorted according to artists, albums, genres and composers. The phone comes with audio boosters but that works only when the headphones are plugged in. There are 20 pre-sets in the audio booster feature. In the FM radio, six presets can be saved on the homescreen. Additional apps include Windows Media Player, MP3 tuner and YouTube client.
