A recent compilation of data from ACCRA Cost of Living Index, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Department of Energyestimated the most and least expensive cities to live in America. The study was limited to cities with populations above 50,000.

The index is based on 100 being average.

EX.New York City has a cost of living indexof 184 which means that cost of living would be 84% more than the national average.
