TSA - Our Govt Has Us by the Gonads
TSA - Our Govt Has Us by the Gonads

Let me get this straight....according to John Pistole, head of the TSA, if I want to fly on a commercial airplane, I have three basic choices:

1) I must submit to body scan that quite possibly is dangerous to my health, and that also creates and saves a naked image of myself for viewing by strangers, or,

2) I must submit to an invasive pat-down in which I must permit a stranger to touch my genitals, or,

3) I can choose not to fly.

They have us by the proverbial gonads.

(Thanks a bunch, John)

So, if I choose door #2, do I get to choose who performs that pat-down ?

I've thought about it, and I would prefer that a woman perform the pat-down. (Preferably a woman with a gentle touch).Granted, it would be awkward having a strange woman doing it, but not nearly as awkward as letting another man squeeze my "junk".

And if I'm forced to let a man do it, I want a straight man to do it, and not a guy who is gay. At least there won't be any chance of a lingering search.

Now that I think about it, the person I would feel most comfortable with patting my crotch would be a lesbian. At least she is woman, and she won't want to linger at her task.

So, I think the TSA should revise it's rules, and allow passengers to choose who is going to pat-them-down.

Likewise, TSA security personnel should have their sexual preferences clearly displayed on their uniforms so passengers can make an informed choice. Pedophiles, and other sexaul deviants should be identified, also.

I think that all pat-downs should be recorded/filmed for the protection of the passenger, and they should be witnessed by a third party not connected to the TSA.

I also think that everyone who goes through the scanner should be given a certificate of proof so that they can keep track of how much radiation they received. It'll come in handy for future lawsuits just in case TSA is wrong about it's harmful effects.

====================

From what I've read, the scanners do not detect objects inserted in body cavities.

So, what good are they ?

Is TSA prepared to perform body cavity searches on all Americans ?

Either they are deluding themselves into believing that they are protecting us, or, they know the truth, and are just going through the motions of providing false security knowing that it will eventually fail. They just want an excuse for their failure.
