There is. GPS tracking is something that has been there for a decade now. Earlier the technology was not that advanced but now, it has almost reached a perfect stage. With a GPS tracking device, you can find your way without asking people around you and if there is anything missing and the object is attached with a GPS device then you are not going to miss it.

GPS tracking is elaborated as Global Positioning System. This system is based on triangulation method. GPS is a totally satellite driven system. As a theory, there are 24 satellites placed in the orbit and they are run through programs. The facility runs 24x7 and there are slim chances of failure. Its a global device and is use all across the globe in same frequency and ease. This is a US-based technology and been sold to many multi-national companies for sale and further development.

Three decades ago, the idea of GPS tracking was devised exclusively for the United States Army. The defense used GPS tracking for their military usage like finding their way, locating the positions of the enemies and plans their strategies accordingly. Imagine, if you know where your enemies are and where are they heading to, wont it be easier to win a war? Actually, in technology and with GPS tracking, half the war is already won. It is only from 1980s that GPS tracking system was opened to public.

Various companies bought the technology and have out it to their use. They have started offering vehicle GPS tracking, mobile GPS Tracking and if you attached the device to any moving object; you would be updated with the current location of the person or object round the clock. The GPS tracking device records the position of the object or person, stores the information and send it to the internet database. When the object or person moves further, another set of information is recorded and sent. Now whosoever has a GPS tracking device or application, through internet he can have access to that data and locate the exact position of the object?
