Puma Crown New King

The Puma King is the latest in Puma's line of legendary soccer cleats, the King name is one that is respected by football fans the world over, having been worn in the past by the world's best like Maradona, Pel? and Eus?bio..

First launched in the 1960's, the Puma King boot is one of the few pieces of football equipment to genuinely reach 'icon' distinction, and as such, it's newest incarnation is not one that is being taken lightly by the brand behind the Big Cat.

Guided by Puma's 1986 Mexico Finale cleat, the Puma King Finale is a charmingly crafted love letter to heritage football boots like the Mexico Finale, but also strives to condition athletes with all the science and modernism that the current game needs.

The top of the shoe is made from premium ultra-soft K-leather which makes the boot more compliant than its predecessor the King XL, and the toe box is rounder for a better overall fit and feel. The King Finale has a traditional foldover tongue that is kept down by a loop and hook providing a cleaner striking area and improves pressure apportionment. The Finale also features a new vamp toe area that gives players complete domination over the football.

To give the Puma King a real appearance on the pitch Puma have contracted Everton's classy Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta to be the key endorsee for the boots.

"

With a price-tag under ?100, the shoe is destined to be a hit in shops following it's December 1st launch date. Even now the King Finale is drawing extraordinary praise from supporters and athletes alike, with football boots experts Footy-Boots.com saying the new Puma is "a shoe that does very little wrong".

Presume the Puma King Finale to be around for a while - Long live the King!
