Americans usually upgrade their phones yearly. Much more the Asians who sometimes upgrade on a whim and do it once or twice, sometimes thrice a year! What happens with the old phones? These old phones are either given to someone else or are simply forgotten completely by their owners. Some though, recycle these old mobiles. Keep in mind that they can be fixed and can still function efficiently. Even damaged supposedly beyond repair, the phone remains to be salvageable, the replacement parts makes this possible.

Now, there can be some sites online that advertises they buy old phones. These sites will recycle your phones by reconditioning them. They estimate the worth of the phone according to its model and its condition. The seller can receive their payments in bank transfer, checks, PayPal or others in about three days' time. If the phones can no longer be salvaged, obviously they've got to be thrown away. But don't be concerned, green movement people, the phones are first pulled apart. The parts which can be used are then put aside for reconditioning other phones. The plastic parts can go to the plastic recycling system while the parts that can't be used are separated too. The metals can be recycled by melting them down and made into other parts. The parts that are not usable are made into something else entirely. To sum it all up, everything is utilized.

Take note, more than two million units are thrown away every year, and that's just in the United States alone. What about the remainder of the world?? The world will be full of waste if people do not take the effort to recycle. Recycling cell phones is an excellent move. Also with reconditioning. So go ahead and recycle those phones, don't just throw them away in the rubbish or stow them inside the drawer of forever. You can always have them reconditioned in order that others can make use of your old phones and you may even get cash in exchange. Through recycling, you can indeed make a difference.
