Believing in God the right way is so important in todays society, We see so many people go through great lengths to make their voices heard to God, that if they knew any better, they would know that God always hears them if they are in a relationship with his son Jesus Christ by making him their Lord and Savior. Once christians get to this part of the equation, they begin to actually falter. They become saved,read their bible, but are never able to tap into the power of Christ truly, so that they can see his power active in their life. To believe in God correctly for him to come through for him, you MUST believe some basic principles...
1. God(Whole Godhead) came in the person Jesus Christ
2. Jesus is the exact image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15-17 "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together"
3. If God didn't do it in Jesus, he does not do it. What this means is that God doesn't kill people or tempts you through sin. John 10:10-"The thief comes only tosteal andkill anddestroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full".
4. The only way to know God, is through studying what Jesus said, did, and taught. This is how you are able to come to know him fully. All the divine secrets of God are in his son Jesus.
5. There is no darkness in Jesus. Only Light, life, love, deliverance, healing, grace, mercy, etc. You abide in Jesus by putting your faith in HIS character, and in what he said, did, and taught. John 14:1 says, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me".
By laying this groundwork in your mind in your relationship with God (through Jesus) you will be able to put your faith in God correctly, and that is through his only Son Jesus Christ.
