Indoor Rabbit Cages Pros and Cons
Indoor Rabbit Cages Pros and Cons

When you buy a rabbit, the first decision you need to make is where is it going to live. Is the rabbit's home going to be outdoors, in your yard, or is it going be living indoors with you?

If you're thinking about having your pet live at home with you, which I think is wonderful, you should consider some of the pros and cons that are associated with this kind of arrangement.

Pros:

1. Indoor rabbit cagesare usually cheaper than outdoor hutches as they tend to be smaller and don't have to be made of expensive material such as wood.

2. Your pet will be protected from the weather as they literally have the same roof over their furry head as you do.

3. You can really bond with your rabbit when it's right there next to you all of the time. Some say that the rabbit enjoys it more too.

Cons:

1. Pets can be smelly so you may need to clean the rabbit cage more often than you would have had to do had you opted for an outdoor rabbit hutch. That being said, keeping things clean is a good thing and you won't be able to escape this kind of work even if your rabbit lives outdoors.

2. You have to make room for it inside your home. Often it is just more convenient to have an outdoor hutch.

Whether you choose an indoor rabbit cage or an outdoor one, I hope you will have lots of fun with your rabbit.
