With the launch of its new routers, Belkin has started implementing strategies to target the end consumers. Belkin has launched three new routers with additions features and multiple preinstalled applications. Some of its feature includes automatics allocation of bandwidth according to a users requirement, DJ torrent, make any printer wireless and automatic backups. Later in 2010, the vendor will be launching updated products on USB 3.0. The Basic Router is priced at Rs. 2399, Surf is offered at Rs. 3099, Share is for Rs. 4599 and Play will be price at Rs 8,199, router best works at the minimum speed of 152 MBPS.
In order to promote the product, Belkin India is opting ISPs (Internet service Provider) model too. Commenting on this Vibhav Mehta, Manager, Marketing, Belkin India said, We are working on this and talking to ISPs for the same.
Currently, networking business is contributing 35% to the companys revenue and the vendor is expecting it to reach 42-45 % by year 2011. In order to achieve this growth, Belkin is focusing on expanding its partners strength in Tier 3 markets along with retail. The vendor is working actively with 3000-3500 IT and consumer electronics partners.
While talking to IT VAR News on its Exclusive brand shop plans, Mehta informed, We are planning to launch Belkin Experience Zone in six months from now. We will start with one and will expand according to the consumers response. It will be pilot project that will start with metros.
Belkin has also outsourced a team of 50 people to train retail store people on its products. We are training retail store people in 12 cities added Mehta.
