There are three main things that I do in order to get more traffic to my website:
1) I write more content. Most people think this is obvious, but if you want more traffic to your website you have to add more content to it. The best way to come up with content ideas is by doing a simple Google search to find out what your target market is looking for. If you're selling software, write about the problem that your software solves.
2) Create A Free Report. If you can create a free report that people can download, you can ask website visitors to give your their email address in exchange for the free report. By doing this you can get the same website visitor to come back to your website over and over simply by sending them an email using an autoresponder. This step very important because you can automate your traffic generation if you do this right.
3) Build links back to your website. Building links to your website can seem like a very demanding task, but if done properly, it can be very rewarding. Most people make the mistake of trying to build as many links as possible back to their websites. In reality you'll get better results if you focus on quality links over quantity. Place your links on other websites that are directly related to your website. By doing it this way, the people that click through to your website will be already presold and interested in what you have to offer.
