To those who are interested to be a project manager, the PMI (Project Management Institute) is offering the PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification Exam to you. It is the most common step in achieving your dream and earns higher income due to the fact that certified Project Managers are in high demand in today's society especially those large organizations and industries. Most companies are higher those PMP certified so that they can be sure that they will be able to lead the projects successfully. Even the government is taking only those who are PMP certified to fit for the job. What's comforting is if you are a PMP certified Project Manager, you are able to get more than 40% of annual salary than those who aren't.

And now, if you want to successfully pass the exam and get PMP Certified, you need to know that the requirements needed are strict and tough. Aside from answering the 200 questions on the exam, you need to acquire certain number of hours of project manager experience that will qualify you to take the exam.

If you have taken associate degrees or your high school diplomas, you only need to gather 7500 hours to get qualified. And as for bachelor degree holders or even higher than that, you need to have 3500 of Project Manager experience. Then both of those types must attend project management training for 35 hours. Remember also that you need to have contacts with people whom you are working with to have reference that you really work out those hours and participated with leading and developing the projects.

After getting qualified, you need to find materials for your study in preparing for the exam. You can look at the internet and do practice exam. A lot of resources are available but not all of them are covered in the exam. So, every state and major cities in the world has many chapters from PMI and it provides us with proper understanding of the materials we needed in order to pass the exam. But, I know for the fact that not all of us are able to take hold on these trainings because of the expenses on the materials and the location might be too far from where you are. However, online seminars and trainings are always available. There has been lots of website, including the PMI, which offers online training. They are even cheaper that in-person discussions. But, we should remember that not all websites who offers these trainings are legal. We need to find first if they have the approval of PMI. You could even check out their website or visit your nearest PMI center and see those sites within the PMI standard.

Here's a tip in choosing the materials you'll use in studying: Choose those resources that are under the PMI Standard. See if that material helps you understand more about project management than giving you nuts.

The PMP Certificate will help you improve your status in life and expose you to different aspects in business, and also in life.
