It is the week leading up to our induction weekend. On this weekend we will be given our kit, have the weekends explained to us and have a generally social weekend meeting the rest of the troop properly for the first time. We have been told we will have a 4mile run, but even though I am capable of running 4miles in under 8min miles, I am still for some reason nerves, I guess it is just the nature of the beast as they say.
We still haven't done any decent phys at the det, which is disappointing. On the Wednesday we had our first phys night since completing the PRMC. We were all psyched for a good session and go t disappointed when it turned out to be (what felt like) 20 laps of the car park, followed by sprints, a short circuit and then leap frog. The sprints were hard, but the circuit and repetitions didn't keep the heart rate up.
This took the same time as the circuit we are meant to do ( 5 pull ups, 25 press ups, 35 sit ups and 200m 80% run and then rest for the time taken to complete the run), but was no where near as affective. On Thursday I was dropped from football (due to numbers), which was probably a good thing, so I didn't pick up an injury, but did go got the gym to complete the circuit. Friday although we had been advised not to train on the Friday of a weekend, I knew this weekend would be easy' so I still went to kettlebells. Big mistake as there were only 2 of us, which results in a high intense metabolic circuit session. Felt great after it though.
