Refrigerator Tracking

Introduction

Nowadays, refrigerator is a member of our family. Refrigeration is the processoflowering the temperature in a given space and maintaining it for the purpose of chilling foods, preserving certain substances, or providing an atmosphere conducive to bodily comfort. Storing perishable foods, furs, pharmaceuticals, or other items under refrigeration is commonly known as cold storage. Such refrigeration checks both bacterial growth and adverse chemical reactions that occur in the normal atmosphere. If we are away from our home, sometimes it is needed to track our refrigerator. It is done with the help of devices like MOBILISIS PROFI. Such a system is called as Refrigerator Tracking. Our article leads to most advanced refrigerator.

Background

Theuseofnaturalor manufactured ice for refrigeration was widespread until shortly before World War I, when mechanical and electric refrigerators became available. Ice owes its effectiveness as a cooling agent to the fact that it has a constant fusion temperature of 0 C (32 F). In order to melt, ice must absorb heat amounting to 333.1 kJ/kg (143.3 Btu/lb). The presence of a dissolved salt lowers the melting point of ice by several degrees. Foodstuffs maintained at this temperature, or slightly above it, have an increased storage life.

Solidcarbon dioxide, known as dry ice, is also used as a refrigerant. Having no liquid phase at normal atmospheric pressure, it sublimes directly from the solid to the vapor phase at a temperature of -78.5 C (-109.3 F). Dry ice is effective for maintaining products at low temperatures during the period of sublimation.

Inmechanicalrefrigeration, constant cooling is achieved by the circulation of a refrigerant in a closed system, in which it evaporates to a gas and then condenses back again to a liquid in a continuous cycle. If no leakage occurs, the refrigerant lasts indefinitely throughout the entire life of the system. All that is required to maintain cooling is a constant supply of energy, or power, and a method of dissipating waste heat. The two main types of mechanical refrigeration system are the compression system, used in domestic units for large cold-storage applications and for most air conditioning; and the absorption system, now employed largely for heat-operated air-conditioning units but formerly also used for heat-operated domestic units.

Description of tracking

MOBILISIS PROFI is a module for tracking. It receives an accurate position from satellites and sends it thru GPRS network to central database. Users can login to our web portal to track their vehicles on map. Portal also has a lot of features: location entry, live tracking, archive, different reports, speed graph, event chart and other.

By installing additional sensors user can track:

level

temperature of fresh food

temperature of freezer

doors status (opened/closed)

motion detection

smoke and fire detection

This data is used to alarm the driver and center in case of problems. All measurements are stored in database for further analysis.

Conclusion

We know that refrigerator plays important role in domestic appliances. At the same time, monitoring of refrigerator is also very important. If we provide such a new system called Refrigerator Tracking, then we will avoid most of problems in home. Finally, it is a future generation refrigerator.
