One day I was looking at the Toshiba Satellite A355 S6940 Laptop to find out if this was the type of notebook that would fit my needs. You see I like to play games on my laptop as well as do some writing with Microsoft so I wanted to make sure that this could do the job.
After checking around I found that it can do this as it is preloaded with the Windows Vista Premium and a trial of Microsoft. Because I already have Microsoft Office anyway, I can just install the full version. As far as the processor goes, it is built with the Intel Core 2 Duo (Centrino) which is great for games.
Another feature that I was looking for in the Toshiba Satellite A355 S6940 Laptop is that it can stream my movies and television shows with picture perfect visuals. There was no way for me to find this out except two ways: to purchase it and then find out that the graphics were horrible or to check some reviews. Of course I went with the latter.
After checking many reviews (about 10) I found that no one had anything bad to say about the graphics and video stream. In fact, I found many people giving rave reviews on this aspect of the notebook. I did, however, read some negative reviews about the Windows Vista and how they didn't like this version of Windows, however, that sounds like an issue that should be taken up with Microsoft, not Toshiba.
I also found that the 16 inch screen is a plus as it makes watching tv on the laptop a lot easier than many other brands as you are able to view on any angle.
So basically what I found when doing some due diligence to help me decide if I wanted to purchase the Toshiba Satellite A355 S6940 16 inch Laptop is that it would be a great buy for my needs. If you are looking to purchase a notebook for yourself as an upgrade or for someone else as a gift then I suggest you do your own diligence to find what brand meets your needs.
