No religion commands murder: But Cain slew Abel'.
Life in religious texts is highly valued and ought not be taken or forsaken for anything. The Law prescribed fighting for the Children of Israel in the Torah some three thousand of years ago to enter the land of the Canaanites after the Exodus. The Israelites were commanded to fight against the soldiers of the King of Canaan, where the two Kingdoms of Israel and Judah were established afterwards.
Lots of wars were fought by the Israelites in order to defend and establish the religion of God.
But murder is a terrible sin in the Old testament, as well as in the New testament ( the Gospel). The Torah specifies that: If a man kills another man, then he has killed all mankind.' The Ten Commandments the second Commandment prescribes: Thou shalt not kill'.
In Islam, wars of Jihad are defensive wars and not aggressive ones. Muslims are commanded in the Qur'an : .. And fight in the way of God those who fight against you but do not transgress, for God does not love transgressors.' Murder in the Gospel is forbidden and is a great sin. The Gospel informs us: Give news to the killer that he shall be killed, even though some time afterwards.'
But, throughout the history of mankind man slaughters man and murder is observed everywhere. Massacre at mass levels are witnessed by Muslims, Christians, Jews and are still witnessed today.
Murders, killings, bloodshed in wars, or through terrorism have been always the practice of people claiming to be religiously oriented. They hide behind religion to execute their own murderous acts of terror and acts of killing. Such criminals do no honor to God nor to themselves, but exactly the opposite, they shame their human sick nature in order to satisfy their psychopathic criminal tendencies.
Man loves shedding blood and committing murder and killings.
Remember the first two brothers of Adam, the first man in this world, committed the first murder where Cain killed his own brother Abel, for jealousy. They both offered a sacrifice to God, but God accepted that of Abel and rejected that of Cain: And so Cain slew Abel.'
