For the festive season, you may rearrange your products in specific categories (such as Gifts) for shoppers convenience in your online shopping cart. Offer heavy discounts for those worst performing items and display the hot-cakes right on the home page. Check your server; can it handle the traffic?

It is very important to check your server and the web stores load capacity. Make sure that it does not crash because of a sudden rush or your online shopping cart fails to process the orders efficiently. Check it out with the online shopping cart vendor and ask them to give you a confirmation.

Give your online store a quick new look

You can temporarily decorate your web store as you do with your physical store during the festive season. Put a new header image on the home page specifically for Christmas, use decorated sidebars or eye-catching slogans, add a discount banner and so on.
