What is Your "Plan B" You'd Better Have One!!

Congress has decided NOT to extend unemployment benefits. If you have even just a couple of months worth of benefits left, you need to get something rolling or you will have nothing left to fall back on.

Please Take note: Even if you have a job you need a "PLAN B". Perhaps you think you don't need a "Plan B" because you have a solid job or that your job is recession proof. Don't be so sure!

Just ask all of those people who had to go on unemployment over the last 2 - 3 years!

With Congress' decision, there are a lot of people that will be cut-off from unemployment benefits, either immediately or in the near future. True, some will lose their benefits because they have found gainful employment. That, however, will be the exception to the rule. Most will not be so fortunate, but will lose these earnings by time default and will have nothing else to turn to.

With this impending doom in mind, the unemployed person might ask,

"Is there an industry left that is hiring and is posting positively in the Stock Market? Is there even one bastion of hope the unemployed can find as a possible career path?"

Yes there is!! Network Marketing/Direct Sales

Here's the deal. Network Marketing businesses have reported consistent gains* in the market while Wall Street consistently reports overall record lows. This is a FACT! Now, you may have either heard or read negative "information" about Direct Sales/Network Marketing in times past, but you CAN'T argue with the SEC reported figures!! Several well known business have had nice gains over the last year. What has been undeniably proven here is that Network Marketing and Direct Selling is the place to be during a recession.

There are some who shout loudly about how the Network Marketing business model itself is flawed and unsustainable. However, the Stock Market does not lie and, in fact, actually indicates that, if you are currently unemployed, becoming involved in a Network Marketing/Direct Sales business might be one of the smartest moves you can make.

Don't believe what you may have heard or what you THINK you may know about the Network Marketing/Direct Sales industry.

It is a fact that most of what is written negatively, and is subsequently posted online, is written by those who have failed to succeed in the Network Marketing/Direct Sales industry.

Success in Network Marketing/Direct Sales takes work, consistent effort, and the willingness to be effectively coached. I have been involved in two very successful organizations in my adult life. In each instance, I saw and continue to see people both succeed and either fail and/or quit. Upon inspection, there were the same underlying issues prevalent in the lives of those who failed. Those that fail often do so out of laziness, a lack of coachability, or a lack of consistent effort.

It is easier for these people, upon failure, to blame the Network Marketing/Direct Sales industry for their failures rather than take the blame themselves. It is this author's opinion that the majority of those who fail, for the reasons mentioned, would probable fail at any business endeavor and that it is not the fault of or a result of the Network Marketing/Direct Sales industry.

If you are unemployed and able to put 5 - 6 hours of effort a day, five days per week, into a business model with proven success for those who apply themselves, you should STRONGLY consider Network Marketing/Direct Sales. You need to move now, before you're left with no income and no fall-back plan.

Do get involved but get involved in the right organization!! I cannot stress this second poin enough! What has been accurately stated in most circles is that success in this industry can be attributed to a combination of the following:

A Solid Leadership

A Stellar Product(s)

A Fair and Profitable Compensation Plan

Good Training/Coaching and Mentorship.

I am, of course, biased to my Network Marketing organization and to my coaching methods. The organization that I work with, as a whole, (the leadership, the Products and the Compensation Plan) is second to none. I am willing to discuss this opportunity with whoever wants a viable "PLAN B" but here are some tips a person should follow when looking into any Network Marketing/Direct Sales opportunity:

You want a company that you can see yourself with for a long time. In order to plan for wealth in this industry, you have to plan to be with one company for as long as it takes. Do not get in the habit of jumping form one to the next. There is no sustainable foundation in that kind of activity.

Determine if the company has a solid product or service that you can see benefiting yourself. A good way to determine this would be viewing the company site, attending a company webinar, or sampling some of their products.

Look to see if the company has an interactive web forum or conference call system so that you might ask questions regarding the company.

"What do I have to do and what is in it for me?" - You have to know the answers to these questions. You want to know all required fees as far as, start-up, monthly fees or any other fees that may be required and the sponsoring requirement. Each company is different. You also want to know what are you going to get in return for your effort.

What type of compensation system supports the distributor network. Will you be supported by a team or will you be left on your own? In any good network marketing organization there will be systems, both automated and manual, that will assist you in building your team.

Do your best to speak with someone who may already be in the company that you are interested in to see how the company operates. Do not ask them about how much money they are making because it is just none of your business. Learn how the money is made and then determine how much you want to make. Do not believe hype income claims. Large income is real in this industry but it takes some time to build.

Last but not least, you want to know the leadership of the company. You want to know about the founder and a little bit about the corporate team. This is vital to your belief in a company. Look to see if there are bio's on a corporate site or an opportunity to hear and speak to the founder via webinar or conference call. You want you company to be transparency and not elusive. You also want to look at whether or not if they are in compliance with the FTC or see if they are listed with the BBB.

There is a lot of money to be made, by determined consistent workers, in the Network Marketing industry. As I have said previously, I am available to discuss the Network Marketing business with which I am involved but I want you, however you proceed, to experience the best of good fortune and success!
