Mastering Sales to Attract Clients: Part 4 of 6

If you want to attract clients and be a successful life coach, you have to master sales. You have to embrace sales and learn to love it. There are six fundamental components of sales that you need to master. This article deals with the fourth step, called grabbing onto your coattails.

Your potential clients have goals and dreams. They dont care so much about you being a life coach as much as they do about achieving their own goals and dreams. And the WHOLE reason someone would want to do life coaching with you is if they truly believed and understood that they could get to their dreams through coaching with you. Whereas, theyve been stuck or having difficulty otherwise, but they see they could do it with your help.

Thats where you come in. You dont declare you can help them. You just help them. Step 3 is about causing a breakthrough for them, being with them and being of service to them. Once you do that, then its time for the 4th step, which is connecting that breakthrough to achieving their dreams. You connect the dots from where theyre at now to their dreams.

And you have to come from the space of being in service to them while youre doing this. You have to come from the space of being a life coach, an expert, a servant, and someone who knows how to help them. From that space, you show them the gap between them and their goals. You teach them about the obstacles theyll face and what they need to do to overcome those obstacles. You teach them step by step how to get from here to their goals.

In other words, youre teaching them that one breakthrough isnt enough. Youre showing them that if they want to achieve their goals, theyre going to have to be committed. Theyre going to have to overcome their fears. Theyre going to need to be dedicated to transformation. Theyre going to need some help along the way to get their a lot quicker than they could otherwise. This is whats in between them and their goals.

However you do it, it doesnt matter. What matters is that you are able to communicate and convey to them that if they grab onto your coattails and coach with you, they can get to their dreams. So once you complete step 3 and you cause a breakthrough for them, you connect that immediately to their dreams. Heck, you can combine step 3 and step 4 and just make a huge difference for them on their way to their dreams. But its important to understand each component of the two steps.

If they dont know or dont believe they can get to their dreams, they wont hire you as a life coach, and you wont be able to attract clients. However, if youve done your job and they really get it, youll attract clients without struggle. Lots of them. And the best part about all of this, is you havent even told them youre a life coach yet. You havent even invited them to coach with you. You havent been pulling to get them to pay you. You havent been struggling. Youve just been making a difference for people. And thats all you need to do.

If you do steps 3 and 4 correctly, your clients will already be wanting to coach with you. Theyll be excited to coach with you, and theyd be shocked if you didnt invite them to do so. These are the steps that will help you learn to attract clients, so they come to you. And you dont have to go begging at their door or lower your prices or barter or any of that stuff. These steps cause you to showcase your value, practice being a life coach in the sales process, and learning how to communicate what it is that you do so clients are naturally attracted to you and whatever it is you do.
