The game is for Nintendo's latest gaming hand held, called DS or NDS.
This year 2010 seems to be taking a turn for sonic, recently some games haven't really made a good impact or so to gamers. I think, But this one goes way back in time.
Same alike the original classic game, it is 2d-ish, fast paced game.
