subject: Digital Poster To A Flexible Video Wall For Dynamic Advertising Solutions [print this page]

Outdoor digital signage is an evolving business with most of the gadgets coming from Asia, these solutions can be straightforward plug and play solutions just like the lcd poster or a more complex solution could be a significant video wall, but there are some solutions that do make life easier.

LCD poster.

This is a commercial grade display that has a inbuilt media player, this allows any store owner to produce their own ads or even get suppliers to supply the sales media to publicize the suppliers goods, all that would need to be done is load the ads onto a computer system and dragging the ads to the memory card via a card reader, here the content is stored. The memory card is then plugged into the media player and the advertisements will come on the screen.

Now this is were things get enticing, as the media is managed through a remote control, so now you can have endless possibilities on how the media is presented, for example in landscape or portrait, ticker at the bottom or no ticker, (including different sizes of ticker), how the images and videos merge into the other.

When configured correctly a digital poster can power on and off at a unique time ensuring that the hardware is only running when it is needed to advertise products or services.

A digital poster is usually used indoors; nevertheless there are some units that work perfectly well outdoors too.

As you can see if you can drag an image from your computer system and upload it to your iPad you can produce jaw dropping and customer grabbing attention.

Now the other end of the market - The Video Wall.

A video wall is a big area that is employed to show a large picture or video, we have all viewed these at shopping centres, they have historically consisted of large flat screen televisions, these are special monitors as they are commercial grade with a very small frame around the edge of the TV.

Now what deters corporations of investing in this form of digital signage is that they have been considered costly and highly inflexible, specifically when used at music concerts to enlarge the image of the performer so the people at the back of the stadium can see the idols.

However the issues are that the displays take up a lot of space, they are vulnerable and configuring them up before the gig is time consuming.

But now with the development of an LED flexible video wall, the market is about to change forever.

Outdoor digital signage is growing first from using LCD equipment to LED, now this flexible video wall is utilising LED technology with vivid colours and clarity never seen before in digital outdoor signage, the pixel density is 2,200 per square metre.

The LED video manager is the brains of the hardware, this comprises of a sender and receiver and as the names suggest send and receive the image or video adverts that is to be displayed.
