subject: Fiats Panda Cross Wins Another Award [print this page]

Fiat launched the Panda Cross in 2008; it is a rugged mini 4x4. Like some of its competitors the Panda Cross has black plastic mouldings around its arches and side panels to give it that off roading look. The Panda Cross also has differently shaped front and rear lights compared to the normal Panda.

Since its launch the Panda Cross has become very popular not just with customers but with the media experts too, which means it has won a few awards in its life time. The latest award is from Total Off Road who awarded the Panda Cross with the 4x4 of the Year award in the Junior Crossover class. The judges agree with customer feedback that the car has excellent steering feedback, a comfortable yet firm ride and excellent brakes.

The Judges of the award commented, "The Panda Cross has loads of style but plenty of substance too, it's great fun in town, a rough diamond on B-roads and pretty acceptable on the motorway. And it can do remarkable things off road."

The UK Marketing Director for Fiat, Elena Bernardelli said, "The Panda Cross is one of a long line of Pandas that have surprised and delighted customers for years, I am pleased that it is still collecting top honours - it certainly deserves them."

As with all new Fiats the Panda has excellent CO2 and fuel efficiency figures. The Panda Cross returns 42.1 mpg in the urban cycle, 67.3 mpg extra-urban, and 54.3 mpg combined. The CO2 figure is 136 g/km.

With the weather in the UK predicted to be very snowy, icy and slippery maybe its time to part exchange the used Fiat Bravo for Fiats mini 4x4.
