The first thing that you have to do is to make a mixture of water and a cup of vinegar by using a spray bottle. Using spray bottle will make you to be easier when cleaning certain spot. Besides, it is also very practical since you only need to spray it on the area you are going to clean.

Secondly, you need to take apart your humidifier in a way to separate the water tank from the base and filter. After that, you need to remove carefully the motor housing to set the base apart.

Thirdly, use cool water and a tablespoon of household bleach to fill the tank. Then, you need to replace the cap and let it sit approximately thirty minutes. Moreover, use large saucepan to steep the filter in water. After that, you need to put the vinegar for about two cups in the saucepan, and just let the filter to sit for at least thirty minutes.

Fourthly, you need to pour the undiluted white vinegar into your humidifier base and just let it sit for about thirty minutes. When removing any residue, you can use a brush or soft cloth. After that, you need to thoroughly rinse the base.

Furthermore, the base of your humidifier needs to disinfect by pouring a teaspoon of chlorine bleach and water into the humidifier base. Then, just let it sit for thirty minutes. Before you are going to use it again, you have to make sure that all parts of your humidifier are completely clean from any bleach residue or vinegar.
