Internet Business Or an Offline Business?

Many people these days are looking at ways to make money online from the internet, can you blame them with the growth of the internet in recent years? What many people fail to remember is that there are some differences to running an internet business to an offline business, OK many of the same fundamentals apply to both but there are a few things you need to remember first before starting your internet based business.

First let's look at a traditional offline business generally you will need to invest a large amount of money to get up and running. You may need business premises, staff, vehicles and you will need to put a lot of hours in to your new business venture certainly for the first few years at least. As a general rule you will look to make a loss in your first year with all your set up costs etc, break even in year two and make a profit in your third year if everything goes to plan. This is the usual structure for an offline business obviously with some exceptions of course.

Now lets look at an internet business generally speaking the set up costs are minimal compared with traditional businesses, making it easier to get into profit. With most internet businesses you will work from home so no business premises are required. You can make profit from day on as soon as your website is set up and running. You can work less hours because systems are in place so you can leverage your time basically speaking you can automate your business so you are earning money whilst you sleep.

Now which would you rather do earn money the "traditional way" or earn money the "modern way" you decide?
