Dressings and Dips for Your Buffalo Meal
Dressings and Dips for Your Buffalo Meal

With these two recipes, you never need to purchase any expensive dressing packets again. You can even add and adapt the taste depending on your preference. You can keep these dips in an air tight container in your refrigerator which you can store for a week. Because there are no preservatives, the shelf life of these would be shorter than the commercially prepared dips.

The first chicken wing dip recipe is the blue cheese dressing. This dip is considered as a classic American salad dressing that would also taste great for raw vegetables such as celery and carrot sticks. It is very easy to make because you will simply mix the ingredients together.

Ingredients:

cup plain mayonnaise

cup sour cream

cup fresh blue cheese

tablespoon fresh lemon juice

teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and pepper together. You can use either black or white pepper, but using white pepper would minimize having specks on your dip. Mash the fresh blue cheese on a small bowl with a fork. Gently fold this in the mayonnaise mixture. Chill for an hour before serving with your favorite dishes and appetizers.

Another favorite salad and chicken wing dip is the Ranch dressing. Many fried foods would taste great with this dip which also includes fried zucchinis, onion rings, and potatoes. This recipe makes a very creamy Ranch dressing because it uses buttermilk.

Ingredients:

1 cup sour cream

cup buttermilk

tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

teaspoon salt

teaspoon ground pepper

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, garlic and onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the buttermilk carefully and whisk until you get the consistency that you desire. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour before serving.

You can garnish this dressing with freshly chopped parsley leaves before you finally serve the meal. This would help neutralize the strong garlic and onion flavors of the Ranch dressing.

Ps: and because it was just thanksgiving time: both dips work also with Turkey!
