Hello reader
I know that it may seem impossible to get on a search engine such as Google, Yahoo and Bing; however, it's not as complicated as you may think it is and I'm going to give you some quick tips on how to get on a search engine very quickly.
You will want to be sure that the phrases that you use for your keywords have very little competition, you can check with Google's keyword tool in order to view keyword traffic and competition.
Most search engines have a formula that is used to decide how and where they are going to rank your website. This process is called an algorithm and every search engine has an algorithm.
To keep it simple, an algorithm is a series of stuff that your website must have in order to be picked up by the search engines. Keep in mind that every search engine is different and may look for different features while determining their algorithm.
Some search engines may look at the content and quality of the content and others may primarily be concerned with the amount of inbound links that your website has.
Ok enough talk let's get to work with getting your website indexed
Step 1- Meta Tags or Keywords are the keywords you place into your websites html in order to tell the search engine what your website is about and where you wish to be place as far as a category. You will need to choose keywords for your website.
I would recommend that while searching for your keywords you use Google's keyword tool simply because it will show you keywords that have little competition and these are the keywords you will want to use.
Example- I'm going to show you how to get on a search engine using a softball t-shirt company as an example.
Below is an example of html or Hyper text markup language and this will help you understand how the search engine will view your website.
Title of Your Site
Be sure that your title matches your keyword that you wish to be indexed with.
Title- Softball t-shirts of all sizes
Meta Name description- this will be the description that is shown after a search result is done usually under the title.
Example
Meta name="description" content= If you are looking for softball t-shirts, we have a large selection with great prices.
Next you have your keywords and you will want to use keywords that are relevant to your website and have little competition.
Once you have those three area setup which are your title, description, and your keywords you will now need to generate some back links.
Back links are something that many people get wrong when it comes to internet traffic and getting indexed with Google.
What are back links?
Back links are simply links that point back to your website or when another website puts your link on their website.
This is one of the most important factors for when Google is deciding where to place you, how many back links does your website have and are they relevant to your website?
The best way to generate back links is writing articles that give readers valuable information that corresponds with your website. You will want to write at least 550 words or more and use your keyword 15% of the time within your article, this is called keyword saturation and a 15% keyword saturation will keep search engines from considering your article or website as spam.
Once you have written an article you will now want to submit your article to the top 10 article directories. Every time an article directory publishes an article you will get one back link that points back to your website.
If you write 1 article per day and submit it to 10 article directories you will obtain 70 back links per week or 280 per month. Article directories are very important and usually have a high PR ranking with search engines.
PR ranking is your page ranking and is a score that search engines will give you based on how much your website corresponds to their algorithm. The higher your PR ranking is, the better your chance of getting a better ranking with the search engines.
You will also want the following pages on your website because for some reason the search engines find these pages irresistible and will much rather index a website that has them.
