subject: Four Basic Features Every Luxury Car Should Possess [print this page]

For most drivers around the world, their needs and requirements in terms of the car that they drive can generally be summed up into one of two categories.

The first is the need for performance. These people look for cars that handle well. They look for cars that provide a good MPG ratio. They look for cars that are structurally strong and aren't prone to breaking down regularly.

Generally speaking, if it's got something to do with how the car works, these people look at it.

With the second category, luxury, people here look for features that are going to make driving the car a better experience in terms of comfort.

From air conditioning right through to a cooling fridge, luxury comes in a variety of different formats and although everyone may have their own ideas of luxury, everyone knows what they want.

With performance, it's generally quite easy to determine how well a car performs, as the data speaks for itself.

In terms of luxury, however, as it can be such an individual preference, it's often difficult to determine what a car should and shouldn't have if you're looking to buy it based on luxury.

Of course, if you were to enter Bentley dealers, any of the models that are on offer would be classed as luxurious, but if you were to go to a second hand car dealership, it could be a little trickier.

Therefore, if you're wanting a car that's full of luxury features but aren't entirely sure what it is that you should be looking for, take a look through the following four features.

1. Heated seats - on a cold winter's morning, there can seem like no better automobile feature than heated seats. Removing that awkward time when you first get into the car and it's so cold that it's difficult to drive, turn on your heated seats and in a matter of minutes you'll be considering winding the windows down.

2. Climate control - whether it's for the whole car, dual zone or four zone, having a climate control feature in your car allows you to control the temperature inside your car easily and effectively. What's more, if it's a dual or four zone system, you can control the temperature in various parts of your car, with each being able to have a different temperature.

3. Integrated satellite navigation system - having a satellite navigation system of some form has become standard for many drivers throughout the UK. However, as they can be particularly valuable, they are often a target for thieves.

Therefore, if you can remove the need to have a third party system and have one already installed and integrated into your car, you not only reduce the risk of your car being broken in to, but it's a whole lot more convenient, too.

4. MP3 connectivity - as CDs are slowly becoming less and less popular, with many favouring MP3s instead, it's becoming imperative for car manufacturers to include some type of MP3 connectivity in their car stereos.
