Newberry College is a coeducational liberal arts college located in Newberry, South Carolina. Founded in 1856, Newberry College is affiliated with the Lutheran Church. The beautiful 90 acre wooded campus is home to 1,025 students.

Newberry College offers 25 majors including education, forensic chemistry, and a new nursing program. Pre-professional programs are offered in law, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and veterinary medicine. It awards four baccalaureate degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Science. The student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1. The college also offers dual degree programs with Clemson, Duke, MUSC, Charleston School of Law, and Palmetto Baptist Medical Center.

The college has 15 sports teams for men and women that compete in NCAA Division II, including football, basketball, volleyball, golf, and tennis. Campus athletic facilities include a football stadium, basketball arena, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and playing fields. Recently 135 Newberry student-athletes were named to the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. These students have earned at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average while completing at least one season in a conference sponsored sport. Newberry College has led the conference in this achievement for the last four years.

The college is located in one of the South Carolina Upcountry's oldest and most historic cities. Newberry has been named as one of "100 Best Small Towns in America", and is South Carolina's safest city. Its downtown has many historic buildings, including four on the Newberry College campus that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The city is located 40 minutes from South Carolina's capital, Columbia, and within an easy drive of both the mountains and the beach. Newberry offers a mild climate that is perfect for the many nearby recreational opportunities. There are several fine golf courses as well as boating and fishing on nearby Lake Murray and Lake Greenwood.
