Wheatgrass use has been recorded in the past numerous times so far. It goes as far as 5000 years back to the times of great pharaohs of Egypt. Even Jesus spoke highly of wheatgrass and praised its effects on health and spirit. In the past, wheatgrass has been used to make wounds heal faster and to make people more energetic and vigorous. Today, we know that wheatgrass can be put to much more uses than ever before due to the nutrients it hosts.

Nutrient content of wheatgrass is really amazing. It boasts several different groups of nutrients, such as enzymes, amino-acids, vitamins and minerals. There is a whole range of diseases and conditions that can be fought using the help of these valuable nutrients. One more nutrient is chlorophyll, a multi-potent substance, with a plurality of beneficial effects.

Since there are so many wheatgrass uses, were going to focus on the most beneficial and popular applications, considering the age in which we live.

The first wheatgrass use is concerned with the issue of blood circulation. Chlorophyll is a powerful substance capable of improving your circulation. Wheatgrass has the highest content of chlorophyll of all plants; somewhere in the neighborhood of seventy percent. An interesting thing is that it has a similar molecule to the hemoglobin our blood protein. The difference is only in a single atom, and because of that, our bodies are capable of transforming chlorophyll into hemoglobin and thus building blood count and improving the blood circulation. Circulation can be improved by applying a couple of ounces to your bath water. This will also make you feel more relaxed.

The second wheatgrass use is about treating problematic skin. As far as the skin is concerned there is almost no condition that cant be treated using wheatgrass. From acne, ulcers, lacerations, wounds, to insect bites wheatgrass can make things better. Having dandruff issues? Just apply some wheatgrass paste to your scalp by gently rubbing it in, and after a few weeks you wont see it anymore. Also, by applying wheatgrass to skin it rejuvenates and tightens it, making it look healthier and younger.

The third wheatgrass use concerns the issue of detox. Everybody knows that nowadays, everything is more or less polluted. The food is full of artificial additives and preservatives that are manufactured to manipulate our senses, the water is polluted and so is air. The lymph can do only so much, but we have to help it. This is where chlorophyll steps in, once again. It is a powerful detoxifier. Chlorophyll is so strong that it can even make you nauseous if youre not used to drinking wheatgrass. This is due to the chlorophyll making the tissues release their toxin buildup and lasts only a couple of days while the body is being cleansed and rid of toxins.

The fourth wheatgrass use is about making your gums healthy. Wheatgrass can be used in various forms to treat some gum conditions. Take some wheatgrass paste and apply it to the problematic area and let it sit there for a while. Or if you dont like the paste you can use wheatgrass juice to same effect. Just take some in your mouth and hold for a couple minutes a few times a day.
