BMW has been awarded the Fleet Car of The Year Award at the Green Fleet Awards, it is the third year running that BMW have won this award, it is great recognition of BMW's EfficientDynamics technologies.

This award is designed to signify the car manufacturer that has expanded its range of low emission vehicles or offered alternative fuel vehicles to fleet customers. The most recent example of this can be found in the BMW 5 Series which has significantly lower CO2 emissions than its predecessor at 129g/km for the BMW 520d. BMW's most popular fleet model the 3 Series is also a fine example of its EfficientDynamics technologies, the BMW 320d EfficientDynamics, has a combined CO2 emissions level of only 109g/km.

BMW have been producing the 5 Series Executive Saloon since 1972, it has undergone many cosmetic, mechanical and emissions changes over the years. The 5 Series has been evolving to match the needs of its cliental base. The 3 Series has been around since 1975, it is the entry level executive saloon in BMW's line up, it has grown in size as well levels of comfort and refinement since its inception.

Angela Pisanu commented on BMW being awarded the Fleet Car of The Year award, "Through its EfficientDynamics initiative, BMW has continued to raise the bar in respect of delivering class leading reductions in carbon dioxide emissions whilst at the same time maintaining exceptional vehicle performance and economy. BMW's achievements in small, medium and in particular the upper fleet vehicle sector convinced us that the firm is once again a worthy winner."

BMW is a very popular prestige brand, its 3 Series model is a benchmark for all other makes & models in its class, and this is represented in its resale value. A used BMW 3 series in Turriff may cost more than other models in its class, but the technological features, reliability and levels of refinement justify the premium price.
