subject: Bags And Boxes Of Any Kind Made To Order [print this page]

In this day and age, many companies will hold seminars and the like to either impart information to their clients or workforce, or to promote some new product etc. At this kind of show, people will often be given free gifts or information packets which have to be carried home. For this purpose, event bags or custom bags are made to order to fit the bill exactly no matter what the promotion is about.

These containers serve several purposes of course. One is that it is an extra gift for the participants and as a 'thank you' for coming. Another is that it shows the company is thoughtful about whoever it has invited to the event. Yet another is that it is free advertising for the company since they will most certainly have the contact details of the company somewhere on it or in it.

What matters most though is the design of the container. It has to be big enough to take whatever is being handed out but it also may need a little extra room for personal goods as well. If, for example, the seminar is promoting an item which is sold in multiples, it is no good expecting the client to carry everything in his hands. He would much rather leave it there than be bothered with juggling everything as he is walking around.

Also, if the container is too cumbersome, the client will not want to lug it all over the place. So this is a vital, but often overlooked, part of the design process. It may also need to be a waxy kind of material too if the goods are heavy or if the weather is not that certain. Imagine the image a company would portray if the container fell apart at the mere hint of a downpour! Not only would this make the company look cheap, it would also give out the wrong message completely.

If the containers are to be made for carryout food and such, they may have to have some kind of thermal lining too. Food which has to be transported for any distance must stay warm otherwise the client will not come back for more. Indeed, this is what puts most people off when they are carrying goods home.

Cardboard is a good material since it traps air within its confines and this insulates whatever is inside, cold or hot. These containers often come in flat packs and are reconstituted as and when they are needed. But this is also a great advertising tool.

One such fold down box is used by a famous pizza company. When the pie is put in hot, a sensitive 'spot' on the container changes color. If it goes back to the original color before it is delivered, that is if it cools down too much, the pie is give free of charge. This keeps the delivery guy on his toes but it is also a great incentive for the customer to keep coming back for more. What a cool way to entice people!
