Last weekend, I was told by my friend that he did not see any CA files when he did a search through his files after finish the removal of the CA antivirus program, CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2009, in the control panel. However, he still getting CA Parental Control blocking on sites asking for an over-ride. Of course none of the passwords he had tried would work. So, how to fix this uncompleted removal? The answer is right in the following passage.
1. Find out and manually remove the two directories as listed below in the Program Files of C disk,

2. Find out and manually delete the 13 files as listed below in the WINDOWS of C disk,

C:WINDOWSsystem32driversvetefile.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversvet-filt.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversvet-rec.sys
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversvetfddnt.sys

C:WINDOWSsystem32driversKmxAgent.sys

3. Find out and manually delete the below listed registry information or keys by opening the Registry Editor from the Start menu (For example, type in " regedit" after click " Run")

4. Check the system files on your computer after finishing the manual removal with the following instruction because the antivirus may have been destroyed while the CA antivirus program was being installed on your computer.
-Go to Start Menu, select "Run", and type in the "cmd" in the pop up box.
-Then, place the Windows XP Professional Service Pack CD( Windows Xp system installing CD) in the CD-ROM.
-Last, type in "sfc /scannow" after the cursor of" C: Documents and SettingsAdministrator>_" ( in the black back ground box)
If you couldn't accomplish the first to third step by yourself, then you may need to download a software uninstaller to forcibly uninstall CA antivirus of all the three directories and 13 files. Or you can just conduct a normal and easy uninstall with the uninstaller at the very beginning.
