Excellence of an Uncommon Artist

We have heard many musicians, composers, writers that have created songs, aired musical pieces, and performed in recitals to showcase the kind of music they love and have passion with. However, it is not usual that we are able to see a music-writer performing his pieces in his own way and in his own style. For one to be able to achieve such, we may say that his style had come from years of being a musicologist, whereby he was able to have an understanding of what his forte is, and how it can be shown as a musical piece or composition.

Mehmet Okonsar is a kind of pianist that has a unique form of individuality seen and heard in his music. Although he has grown to be a classical pianist, it can be observed that he has adapted his own way of using notes and keys in conveying the kind of method he has in choosing his choice of harmony to play. Despite of growing in the classics, it did not become a barrier for him to become a modern composer whereby he has created his own brand of tunes.

Aside from being a pianist and a composer, he is also known as special person known in the field of performing arts. In being able to study orchestration during his youth, he is able to conduct and play in different concerts, along with other musical groups and orchestras, in different parts of the world. He was able to show his skills and talents as an orchestra conductor handling different orchestral groups that have presented talents in places like Utah, Vienna, Canada, Paris and more.

Being exposed with much of many different musical themes and types during his lifetime, we can say that he is an uncommon artist because he has not shifted specializing in anything that he had learned all over the years. In fact, his level of musical sophistication is so simple that he can be compared side by side with Bach, Liszt, Chopin, and others. He would like to have his kind of music easy, and calm to listen to. Despite of his love for classical music, he was able to make a lot of changes with influences of being an avant-garde composer. He had revolutionalized music, as we know it. He had used the old to get to the new and maximize it by having contemporary music in the picture.

Wonderful as it is to think that someone being able to grow in a family of musicians, pianists, and organist; indeed we may say that his talent runs in the family. His modern ways did not have his Jewish heritage go away. In fact, this may have been one of his inspirations on why he was able to do a lot for music. He had even made books about Jewish music, which shows that notwithstanding his achievements all over; he has not forgotten his roots and had shown that his pride is able to make himself and his culture stand out from everyone else. Undeniably, he is someone not to be commonly seen in the music scene.
