The New York Giants have put themselves right back into the NFC playoff picture with a tough, hard-fought victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the New Meadowlands Stadium last week. New York goes into this weekend"s matchup with the Washington Redskins short-handed once again, as Hakeem Nicks, Shawn Andrews, and Shaun O"Hara will all be out, and Steve Smith and David Diehl are also very unlikely to suit up. The Redskins have lost three of their last four, and come into this game with their playoff hopes on life support.
The Redskins put up 251 yards and converted on 4 of 15 on third down. The team ran it 24 times for 79 yards for a 3.3 yards per rush average. The team committed one turnover and took two away from Jacksonville including a key interception in overtime that set up the game winning field goal.

On the ground Ryan Torrain on 20 carries ran for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Out wide Santana Moss led the team with 5 catches for 85 yards. Tight end Chris Cooley contributed with 5 pass receptions that went for 48 yards.

They allowed the Jaguars last week 336 yards and 7 of 17 conversions on third down. The Redskins allowed their AFC south opponents to run the ball 23 times for 78 yards for nearly a 3 yards per rush average. It is worth noting the Jaguars were playing without leading rusher Maurice Jones Drew who was out with an injury.
Washington allowed the opposing quarterback to complete 22 of 38 passes for 299 yards with a touchdown and two picks.
