Tip 1: A family/friends tournament
Create a tournament for your family or friends to compete in using whatever equipment you already have. You can make this as complex or as simple as you like and create your own rules, but you will be shocked at how much everyone enjoys it. To get you started why not think about using any of the following items to challenge your loved ones: charades, a board game, a pack of cards, a football, a hula hoop, Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, singstar etcYou can all decide how long the tournament should go on for and what the prize the winner or the winning team should be awarded. It may seem a little "off the wall" but it's a great way of spending quality time with your family or friends at minimum cost
Tip 2: Take turns hosting fun events with your friends/Family
In the current economic climate many people are ditching going out and taking it in turns to invite friends and family to join them for a fun night in.If you and your friends have children you could get them together to watch a movie or to play a game while the adults enjoy a much needed break. Some fun ideas that you and your friends/ family could consider include hosting murder mystery evenings, karaoke nights or even "Come Dine with Me" style dinner parties.
Tip 3: Swap DVDs, Books and Computer Games with friends
By sharing and swapping your DVDs, Books and computer games with friends for the evening or weekend you could save yourself a small fortune. By sharing with each other you get to enjoy all of the latest films, books and games without having to cough up any cash.
Tip 4: Take up a new Hobby
For a small initial outlay you could use your empty time to take up a new hobby or learn a new skill. For example, you could learn to play an instrument, learn a language or get fit all from the comfort of your own home.
Tip 5: Enjoy a Romantic night in
There are plenty of supermarkets offering deals on three course meals complete with wine and with a bit of imagination you could create a romantic night in for yourself and your partner.
