Consumers wanting this great deal must sign up via the Internet to use the promo code. Therefore, most of the people they are attracting will already have Internet service.

This seems like a catch 22. Verizon will provide you with Internet service but you must have Internet service to get the great deal. Of course, Verizon does not see it that way. They say they have a higher quality product and that your current Internet, television and phone service is not even in the same league as Verizon's FiOS.

Customer Seeking Codes Need Only Search for Them

Verizon has spent so much money on this promotional campaign that anyone seeking a coupon is sure to find one. Type "Verizon Promo Code" into any search engine and you are guaranteed to find the first page dominated with coupon sites. Every affiliate marketer out there is promoting these codes and is more than willing to share them with you.

Even if you are not in the market for broadband, you will find all kinds of discounts and freebies at these sites. Verizon went all out on this one and they are betting it will pay off.

The Bottom Line

Time will tell if the ad campaign will pay off for Verizon. In the meantime, consumers looking for a bargain on the Internet need only look for promo codes.

Verizon isn't the only one playing the promo game either. AT&T has a campaign promoting their competing U-Verse product.
